Super Nitro Rally

Based on the hugely successful and popular Nitro RS4 MT, the Super Nitro Rally features a tough shaft drivetrain, enclosed metal gear differentials, error-free setup and go-anywhere durability!

Required to make the Super Nitro RS4 Rally ready to run: 2-channel surface radio system with 2 servos, switch and battery holder; 12 AA batteries for the receiver battery pack (4 required) and radio (8 required), 20% Nitro fuel for cars and fuel bulb. Use our Nitro Start-Up Set with Radio for an easy way to get started! To prepare the body, you will need Lexan paint (we recommend Pactra brand paints) and a pair of curved Lexan scissor, or at least a sharp hobby knife.

This full-time shaft-driven 4WD truck can handle the most extreme terrain you can imagine! Rocks, dirt, pebbles, twigs, and grass have no effect on the Super Nitro Rally's effectiveness in carving up the worst vacant lot or field! Just fly over them with the all-terrain tires powered by the strong Nitro Star engine included with the kit!

The heart of the Super Nitro RS4 Rally is the 2mm thick purple anodized aluminum countersunk chassis. A strong Nitro Star 15FE engine powers the Super Nitro Rally, providing great acceleration and fast top speeds! The Nitro Star 15FE is one of the easiest-to-tune engines ever, with just one carb adjustment and many improvements made in the past several months for more power and strength! 

We've been improving on our shaft drivetrain since it came out to make it tougher and stronger than ever! The Nitro Star 15FE drives the Super Nitro Rally's 13 tooth clutchbell and 52 tooth spur gear, which transfers power to two dogbones, one to the front and another to the rear. These dogbones connect to the gearboxes at each end of the Super Nitro Rally chassis, which contain strong metal bevel gears attached to gear differentials. The differentials give the car awesome cornering capabilities and great handling!

The diffs drive dogbones and axles at each corner of the Super Nitro Rally, and new Super-size Rally tires get the power to the ground with large rubber lugs that attack all sorts of terrain for awesome traction and grip! Going from asphalt to dirt won't be a problem! For more variety and tuning, you can also fit any 2.1" rear buggy tire to any of our Super Nitro wheels! We recommend Pro-Line's line of buggy rear Dirt Hawg tires for scale looks and performance.

A tough plastic upper deck forms the backbone of the Super Nitro RS4 Rally, and provides the support for an awesome feature first seen on our Super Nitro RS4: the swing-out radio tray! After a long day of running your Super Nitro Rally, you don't want to clear out gunk and dirt and have to watch out for the electronics, so just pop off two body clips, disconnect the servo arms and swing out the plastic radio tray! All of the electronics are attached - both servos, receiver battery pack, switch, receiver and antenna! Once the radio tray is taken off, use our #9062 Nitro Car Cleaner to spray off any grime, oil and dirt. It just can't be any easier! 

The Super Nitro RS4 Rally uses the same suspension from the Super Nitro kit. The front shocks from the Nitro MT are used at both ends of the Super Nitro Rally for long-stroke shock dampening. Super tough nylon shock towers resist breaking from the worst wrecks and have alternate shock positions for fine-tuning the handling, on the street or in the dirt.

The Super Nitro Rally also comes with our plastic tuned pipe and a finned metal header. This tuned pipe has almost the same performance as our regular aluminum tuned pipe, plus it costs much less so YOU don't have to pay more to have great performance! Using a unique plastic welding technology and a dual chamber design, our new tuned pipe is better than any other plastic tuned pipe currently available. It won't bend in crashes and features the "HPI Oval" logo, as well as a cool inline pressure fitting for a sleek, clean look.

The kits comes with either our Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI or Suzuki Escudo Pike's Peak body, so you can choose the "tame" WRC style or the wild no-holds-barred hill climb version! Two huge sheet of flexible vinyl decals are included with each body, and feature window lines, headlights, tail lights, lots of logos and more for extra customization! Each HPI body also includes a protective overspray film and window masks for easy painting!

About parts compatibility - Nearly all option parts that fit the Nitro RS4 MT will also work on the Super Nitro Rally: slipper clutch, 2 speed, fiber disc brake, graphite upper deck, heavy duty chassis, front aluminum shocks, and much more. Also, Super Nitro RS4 parts will fit on the kit as well: our optional wheels, on-road tires and even the bodies!
